2021 Online Graduation Ceremony for Class 41 of Police Sergeant and Class 25 of Fire Safety Sergeant Category 4 (2nd Batch)

publish date : 2022-11-11
Since the enrollment on May 12, 2022, having taken a 2-month academic training course, EETC class 41 of police sergeant along with class 25 of fire safety sergeant category 4 (a total of 258 cadets), every cadet in the orientation program had successfully passed the tests and earned qualifications for graduation. All the cadets will return to their previous stations to serve a two-month internship, from July 12 to September 11, 2022.
As the cadets were not allowed to attend the graduation ceremony in the light of current policies regarding epidemic prevention, EETC held the virtual ceremony via Google Meet, which was hosted by director Tian-Muh Tsai, and the attendees included commander Chang-Fang Li, captain Chia-Cheng Chen, staff officers Hsueh-Wu Yu, lieutenants Yi-Yin Chen and Cheng-Lin Huang and other 258 cadets who were watching the live streaming ceremony. Even though the cadets were not actually present for the ceremony, they still dressed formally and watched livestreaming with great vigor, demonstrating the superb result of good hard training, and the ceremony concluded successfully.
The training process and methods in the programs were different on account of the pandemic. Due to level 3 alert, the cadets returned home and started distance learning for 2 months after three days of orientation session and performance review. It’s regrettable that the cadets couldn’t be present for actual training on campus and lost opportunities to interact with teachers and other fellow classmates. Nonetheless, the cadets in Sergeant category 4 were still all enthusiastic in learning with positive attitude toward classes and engaged in genuine interactions with their instructors, which many other superiors and teachers applauded.
During the graduation ceremony, director Tsai encouraged all the cadets to cultivate a lifelong habit of learning and exercising, to treat people with sincerity and integrity, and to perform their duties with caution and hard work. He expected every cadet to conduct themselves with honesty and vigilance and to be responsible and down-to-earth law enforcement cadres so that in the future all the teachers can take pride in them. While the graduation ceremony took place online, every participant did appreciate the significance of the occasion, and the ceremony ended beautifully with heartwarming farewells and good wishes.
